Tanay Water District (TanWD) on Aug. 8 conducted its 4th Community Blood Drive at the 2nd Floor of TanWD main building as part of the District’s 44th founding anniversary and its thrust to give back to the community.

TanWD General Manager Mr. Emmanuel Catolos supported the activity led by Mr. Jeffrey Marcelo Matienzo, TanWD Safety Officer-designate.

Meanwhile, medical personnel from the Margarito Duavit Hospital (RPHS Binangonan Annex) led by Ms. Arlene Catchuela facilitated the said one-day event.

The activity attracted 52 blood donors from Tanay, 7 from Pililla, and 1 from Morong. At least 42 individuals from the potential donors were eligible for blood extraction.

The event organizers managed to collect 13 bags, which is equivalent to 5,250 mL of blood. TanWD Management is optimistic about a more successful mass blood drive next year.
